How do I register Mobile Security?

In order to be protected by Mobile Security, you must register your product with a license key. The license key specifies how long you may use the product. As soon as the license key expires, the application stops performing its functions and protecting your device.

To register your Mobile Security app, follow these steps:

  1. Open Mobile Security.
  2. In the home screen, press the Menu key on your device.
  3. Tap Global Settings in the menu.
  4. Tap Renew License.
  5. Select I already have a key and type your license key in the provided field. Then tap Validate to finish the process.
What does Mobile Security need each permission for?
  • Internet access - used for cloud communication.
  • Read phone state and identity - used to detect if the device is connected to the Internet and to extract certain device info needed to create a unique ID when communicating to the cloud.
  • Read and write browser bookmarks - Web Security module deletes malicious sites from your browsing history.
  • Read log data - Mobile Security detects traces of malware activity from the Android logs.
  • Read / write SMS, contacts, account data and external storage - Required for the remote wipe feature.
  • Location - Required for remote location.
How will Mobile Security impact my device's performance and battery?
The impact is very low. Mobile Security only runs when it is essential — after you install an app, when you browse the application interface or when you want a security check. Mobile Security does not run in the background when you make a call, type a message or play a game.
How do I turn off Privacy Advisor notifications?

How do I uninstall Mobile Security?

  1. Go to System Settings and tap Security.
  2. Tap Device administrators.
  3. Uncheck the box near the PCSecurityShield Mobile Security icon to disable the app as device administrator.
  4. Tap Deactivate and then OK to continue.
